Using Rails migration on production server

There may be a better way, but for now every time I run migrate on a production server I need to set the ENV variable:

export RAILS_ENV=production
rake migrate

    stick that export in your ~/.bash_profile

    Thanks phrog, thats the solution i’ve been trying to find to solve my problem of rails trying to find my development database when my apps is set to run in production mode not development.
